Chuck Tyner
Senior Director
Whether he is picking a line down a ski slope or planning a weekend in the backcountry, Chuck Tyner believes the best outcomes come from reading the terrain, preparing for what is ahead, and committing to the route – the same instincts he brings to every client’s merchandising strategy.
With more than 25 years in retail and consumer goods consulting, Chuck Tyner is an analytics-driven merchandising leader who helps retailers turn data into confident, store-level decisions. As a Senior Director at Parker Avery, he focuses on merchandising and assortment strategy – store clustering, attribute-based assortment, and category planning – translating complex datasets into practical actions that move the business. Throughout his career, Chuck has partnered with merchants and analytics teams alike, building consensus across functions and keeping initiatives anchored to measurable outcomes. Chuck holds degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southwest Baptist University – a quantitative foundation that still anchors how he approaches merchandising problems. Clients value his ability to bridge the merchant’s intuition with the analyst’s rigor, ensuring strategy holds up against the realities of the store. Based in the Chicago area, Chuck balances his professional pursuits with a life grounded in family and the outdoors, where he can usually be found skiing in winter or camping once the weather turns warm.
