Evan Witz

Since youth, Evan has always had a mindset for analysis, studying extensively in mathematics — and even as a hobby, participating in numerous mathematical competitions.

Evan applies his deep mathematical knowledge in practical contexts to help Parker Avery’s global clients achieve better results by leveraging advanced analytics. His work has been published in journals such as the Electronic Research Archive and the Journal of Nonlinear Analysis. In these papers, he utilized his background in data science and machine learning, bringing a novel approach to the field of dispersive equations by utilizing code to automate a key step in his work. He holds a B.S./M.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Applied Mathematics, an Associate’s Degree from Monroe Community College in Biology, and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in Mathematics. Currently, Evan lives in Rochester, New York, and enjoys running, drumming, and reading about new mathematical fields.
